Practicing in Clifton, New Jersey, Dr. Edwin Perez is a pain physician and general anesthesiologist with Garden State Anesthesia. He has experience in chronic and acute pain cases and provides anesthesia for a variety of same-day surgical procedures. Since 2011, Dr. Edwin Perez has additionally served as director of the Rutgers Medical Anesthesia Residency Site. He has prepared the Newark Beth Israel Medical Center for residents’ arrival and guided residents in their general and specialty anesthesia rotations. He also serves as volunteer assistant professor and provides residents with clinical and didactic training.

Dr. Perez completed his BS in biological sciences at Carnegie Mellon University and pursued an MD at the New Jersey Medical School. He undertook a general surgical residency at State University of New York at Downstate in Brooklyn and subsequently trained in anesthesiology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. As a pain management fellow with the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle from 2008 to 2009, Dr. Edwin Perez treated a diversity of patients, including those with cancer, and performed complex procedures such as implanting a spinal cord stimulator.
